A plain rim keeps costs low and fits any battlemat; a scenic base turns the miniature into a diorama and is often the first thing people notice on a display shelf.
Tier | What you get | Extra cost* | When to choose |
---|---|---|---|
None | No sculpted ground, flat 3-mm plate | € 0 | You’ll pin the model to a resin base later |
Simple | Thin rim, rocks / planks / sand | + € 50 | Skirmish games, fast paint-jobs |
Epic | Multi-layer ruins, statues, cliffs, water FX | + € 200 (starts) | Bosses, display pieces, photoreal renders |
*All prices are added on top of the € 350 sculpt fee.
Diameter & rim follow common game sizes — 25 / 32 / 40 / 50 / 60 mm.
Geometry: extra ledges, arches or water textures add sculpt hours and print supports.
Scene density: each “heroic prop” (fallen column, skull pile) counts toward the Epic tier.
All bases are digital. Once you approve the final render, the supported STL/OBJ files are sent instantly via download link.
An Epic base can add up to two sculpting days before approval, but file delivery itself is immediate.
Q: Do I have to stick to the “official” base diameter?
A: Most games measure engagement distance from the rim of the base, so using the standard sizes (25 / 32 / 40 / 50 / 60 mm) keeps your hero tournament-legal and prevents accidental in-game advantages.
Q: Will my model tip over—do I need to add weight?
A: Light resin minis can nose-dive. Many hobbyists glue a metal washer or coin under the base; that lowers the centre of gravity and makes even tall, dynamic poses stable on the table.
